Which of the Republican candidates for the presidency is most likely to get "Soutered?" To nominate for the Supreme Court, not an originalist, but in fact the opposite. Those vulnerable to being Soutered lack an ear for or an interest in the inner ideology that all lower court judges keep carefully tucked away until they arrive on the Supreme Court of the United States where it is allowed to take full flight. It is hard work to get SCOTUS nominees right. Even when a president cares about the Court and the Constitution's interpretation by the nine deeply, he can still be flummoxed by the process. If he isn't passionate about it going in, it won't spring up in the course of his busy life in the Oval Office. The first President Bush narrowed a field of Supreme Court candidates to Judge Edith Jones and then New Hampshire Supreme Court Justice David Souter.

Then, something happens. In the middle of the night all nine suddenly leap out of their tents as fast as possible, ripping them open from the inside (not even enough time to untie the doors) and race out into the sub-zero temps, without coats or boots or skis, most in their underwear, some even barefoot or with a single sock or boot. It is 30 degrees below zero, Celsius. A few make it as far as a kilometer and a half down the slope. All nine, as you might expect, quickly die. And so it begins. Why did they rush out, unable to even grab a coat or blanket? What came at them? The three-month investigation revealed that five of the trekkers died from simple hypothermia, with no apparent trauma at all, no signs of attack, struggle, no outward injuries of any kind. However, two of the other four apparently suffered massive internal traumas to the chest, like you would if you were hit by a car.
India continues to influence events in Sri Lanka

Even during this period, some reports said India's Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) did not allow the Indian forces to capture or kill LTTE leader Prabhakaran though they cornered him twice.
It is because of this double-game played by India, however much Sri Lankan politicians say that 'India is our best friend', both India and Sri Lanka know that the saying is clouded by opportunism or political exigencies.
Last week, the Marxists-turned-nationalists, the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna, sounded a warning that if India did not desist from playing its double game, the party would launch a nation-wide campaign to boycott Indian products.

Rush Limbaugh endorses my opponent, and we know Limbaugh is too far to the left! Grover Norquist is satisfied with the Republican nominee, but certainly Norquist is too far to the left! And, as my running mate, because I do not want to be too far to the left, I am passing on Jesse Helms, who is too socialist for me, and I am choosing Strom Thurmond, who was too far left when he was alive, but has matured and come to his senses in the grave! .
